Some banks will integrate when needed: Information from the Joint Finance Minister

Finance Minister Anurag Thakur has said that the government will consolidate some more public sector banks as needed.

In August last year, the federal government announced the integration of ten public sector banks into four banks. Accordingly, Oriental Bank of Commerce, United Bank of India will have to merge with Punjab National Bank. Similarly, Allahabad Bank Indian Bank and Syndicate Bank will be merged with Canara Bank. Union Bank of India is about to merge with Andhra Bank and Corporation Bank. The attachment has been in effect since April.

Thakur said, ‘நாங்கள் We are banking successfully. He added that more banks would be included if needed.
