Walkman NWZ S738F

The Sony NWZ S738F Walkman has a flashy design. The player comes in black color with metal finished face and backside which are joined by glossy black boarder. It is too compact with the size 3.4” by 1.6” by 0.3”. The onscreen interface is very attractive and user friendly. The music is well organized by ID3 tags. We can also use folder navigation to select music. The S-series walkman supports MP3, WMA and AAC files for music, JPEG pictures with slideshow options and MPEG4 and M4V video. It has Rhapsody DNA and works with Amazon Video on demand.

In addition to the usual multimedia supports the S-series Walkman has many extra features like FM radio with an autoscan mode, an integrated podcast support which allows users to drag and drop podcasts and other media from I-tune interface. The music oriented extras are; the intelligent shuffle function, various sound enhancement options which include two user customizable Equalizers, the noise cancellation feature which works with the packaged headphones. Sony has introduced another extra called SenseMe Channels to the S-series which analyzes the library on the device to create a selection of channels.

The sound quality is exceptionally good with integrated sound enhancement options. The battery life is superb; 40 hrs for audio and 10 hrs for video. The bright and crisp display offers a good quality picture and video preview even with the smaller screen. It also has an 8GB memory; though not extendable it offers enough room to store music. All the Added features along with the battery life and enough memory make the machine perform superb. The packaged headphones may not be comfortable for all users but the noise-canceling it offers is really god. The machine would have been fantastic if it had an extendable memory and voice recording option. As the bottom line I would say the Sony NWZ S738F Walkman is the best in its class.
