Dell has officially launched the M17x or “the most powerful 17-inch laptop developed in the Universe”. The laptop is meant for extreme gaming. The weight of this laptop is approximately 5kg.

Factory overclockable Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad-core mobile processor. Dell expects the users to overclock it by up to 3 bin speeds. The display section include dual 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M graphics processor, RAM configuration is 8GB DDR32 1333MHz, WUXGA 1200p (1920 x 1200) edge-to-edge gloss glass LCD with an integrated NVIDIA GeForce 9400M G1 GPU with HybridPower technology for all daily needs, 1TB 7200RPM Hard disk drive or 512GB of SSD in Raid formation, . All these features won’t be for the starting price of £1,699.
Windows Vista 64-bit is the standard Operating System present in the system. But as Windows 7 is to come out on 23rd October 2009, then Dell has offered its users that they would provide a free upgrade service to the new OS. The user has to pay only the shipping charge of the CD. There’s a metal plate provided on the underside of the anodized steel chassis and users can engrave them with whatever they like in both your native alphabet and in the alien language too. All sorts of other heavy customization can be done on this machine according to user preference when you order the machine online. The idea behind is that the machine will be ready to go to your needs as soon as it is taken out of the box.
