XPERIA X1 is the first ever windows mobile handset from SONY ERICSSON.The slide down QWERTY key pad and the 3 inch touch sensitive screen makes XPERIA X1 the best choice for the business professionals.The metal casting from HTC makes it both robust and classy.256MB RAM and 528MHz processor helps X1 to run fast and smooth.

The physical design of  X1 is excellent.The actual hardware of X1 is made by HTC and it will feel solid in hand.It has a black aluminium body with chrome accents for the curvaceous slide out key board.It also has a 3.2 mega pixel camera and also has the 1500mAh battery.

Another design speciality is its backlit keys which helps the user to type even under dark conditions.

DISPLAY

Display is one of the best feature of X1.It has a 800*400 VGA screen.

The resolution is tightly packed in to the 2.8” VGA screen.Images are vibrant,bright and sharp in X1.Screen is wider and narrower than tha Touch pro’s.So it is the best choice for watching movie playbacks.VGA screen is pin sharp,crisp in nature  and will  produce excellent images.Display of X1  is  very good for searching through the web using the opera web browser.It is very easy to tap the display and it is also very easy to zoom,too

KEY PAD

The keys of X1 is well placed and the response for the key press is excellent.It also has an optical sensor at the centre of the key pad.The key pad is a four directional path.By just flicking his thumb over the surface ,user can scroll up and down the menu and can also move it side to side.Buttons of the keypad  are large enough for extended and comfortable use.So that the user can type texts in a very high speed.It has a very small touch pad like interface and it is easy for the user to navigate through them.

SOFTWARE

The custom pan interface of X1 is very good.It providing different types of home screens,media player interface and also providing a google oriented screen in it.User can select any screen from this panel as the default screen of his phone.It have the WiFi application and the blue tooth service in it.GPS service with google maps is also provided.It has the “MS Office mobile” software for the office purposes and will also allow the 3G/HSDPA connectivity in it.

DISADVANTAGES

1.The resistive touch technology is not good.

2.Physical design is not thin as expected

3.Time delay in checking missed calls and in checking texts.
