Nokia N86 8MP is the upgraded version of N85. This Symbian S60 phone includes a 2.6-inch scratch-resistant OLED display and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Though the screen is wide and large it has only QVGA resolution. The N96 has followed dual sliding footsteps with superior build quality and spring assisted slide mechanism. This heavy handset (149g) from Nokia also features an 8-megapixel camera, 8 GB of memory and a Carl Zeiss Tessar lens with a dual-LED flash. 8GB on board memory can be expanded using the micro SD slot (up to 16GB cards).

Other features include the dual-slide form factor, FM transmitter, Bluetooth support, Wi-Fi, e-mail facility, Flash Lite, compass and accelerometer. This model also has a fast mechanical shutter for the camera that may reduce the motion blur. Integrated GPS enables Geo tagging of photos, which can be uploaded via Nokia’s Ovi service. The entire front portion of the device is covered by tempered glass. It not only gives it a professional touch but also makes it scratch resistant. Metal ring makes up its edges while the back is a single piece of a matt finish plastic. This when removed gives access to the battery and SIM card slot.

The micro SD slot is located on the left hand side of the model. It can support up to 16GB of external memory cards. Key lock slider is also on the left of the device. Camera capture and volume control buttons are on the right. Most of the buttons are reasonably placed having good tactile feedback. It also incorporates a D-pad.  N86 comes with good multimedia features and also extra illustrative icons. Camera software start up time is minimal thus quick snaps are possible. Nokia has improved the sensor size and sensitivity. Thus the sensor works on more information. Nokia N86 8MP uses a 1200mAh rated battery.  Users will find this high quality design with a mature software platform very attractive.
