M2M Studio Version 1.1.1 is for the development of embedded machine-to-machine software. It is the only fully integrated development environment to meet the requirements of small scale to large scale M2M deployments.

M2M Studio Version 1.1.1 is released as the latest version of the sierra wireless’s completely integrated environment. Sierra Wireless is a provider of a variety of wireless solutions. M2M Studio, generally, is a complete IDE that facilitates developers to make, develop, download, compile, debug and test their apps. The integrated development environment is built on Eclipse.

It totally integrates tools such as the project build wizard, source code editor, traces emulator and development tool chain, target download, JTAG debugger, RTE mode monitor, all inside the Eclipse Ganymede structure. M2M studio features a user-friendly graphical user interface and documentation based on GUI. It is endowed with a series of augmentations and additional features.

It includes integrated documentation, software redistribution, original source code, and compliance with Linux. The new software redistribution features enable developers to create plug-ins for embedded software by themselves. It also makes them able to access users of other M2M Studio. Besides, compliance with Linux feature facilitates users to employ PC Linux platforms and Windows when fabricating projects.

Since the original source code is also made available, developers can not only modify and recompile but also distribute the software between M2M Studio community members. This could be utilized to encourage further development. Moreover, it consists of new software to simplify the installation of all open AT software suite components which includes M2M Studio itself.

Some other features that are included in the latest release are automatic notifications of updates of the software component, an enhanced “Launch configurations” feature that permits usage of Segger JTAG and a feature that warns pop-ups in case of inaptness between software components.
