Google Launches Movie Search Application in Mobile devices

Google is launching a new Movie search feature on iphones, Palm WebOS or Android-powered smartphone. With this latest upgradation, Google is advertising increased efficiency and readability along with darker and bigger icons. This feature will help users who are on their way for a movie, an option to search on their mobile devices. Movie search results are available now on mobile devices in the US, Ireland, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom and New Zealand.

Users just have to search for ‘movies’ on their palm, Android or iPhone going to google.com and then select “more movies” link. This will provide with a list of movies of the day. One can even select movies ‘by theatres’ with which users get an option to find a movie nearest them or review theater listings to see what goes with their time schedule.

The new movie listings of Google have got buttons included in it which facilitate web visitors play the trailers of latest movies on their phones. The users can also access detailed information about a film like the cast and crew, showtimes, pictures. It also provides users with innovative methods to explore films by genre. With this filtering, you can get the right movie for you with ease.

With the help of Google maps Navigation feature, you can chart a course to the theater nearest to you in the list by giving the name of a nearby landmark, the address or anything into the search box. Google will find it for you. Google is now trying to make search results more relevant not just to the users but to the advertising community as well.

By inserting other kind of movie promotions and tie-ins with this movie search service, the company can have advertising revenues also and it will be interesting to see how Google evolves to meet this.
