Dell I15-156B laptop review
During these times of a very bad economy, people go for anything really cheap. That is why many laptops with “atom” processors are sold a lot now days. What if you get a better configuration from DELL for the same price? DELL introduced a new laptop, DELL Inspiron I15-156B, which cost the same price or even less than the atom processors. For a price of 499 $ you get an Intel dual core processor with 160 GB hard drive and 3 GB RAM.
The specifications are as follows.
- Processor – 2.16 GHz Intel Dual Core T3400, 3 GB 667 MHz DDR2 RAM and160 GB hard drive
- Operating System – Windows Vista Premium
- Graphics – Intel GMA 4500 MHD
- Screen size – 15.6 inches
- Weight – 5.7 pounds
A bad thing pointed out about this laptop is that it has got a poor battery life (1 hours and 43 minutes ‘still not bad’). But if you are ready to sacrifice that, you have a good processor, far better than the atom processors, but cost the same. Another thing that the laptop doesn’t have is an HDMI port. The DELL Inspiron I15-156B is more than enough to meet the needs of a student or a beginner.
Some other features – VGA out, Stereo speakers, headphone/microphone jacks, three USB 2.0 ports, SD card reader , Express Card/34, Ethernet, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi and a DVD burner.
For a price of $ 499, DELL has tried to put the maximum features it can, without compromising the processor power.
One more surprise: It comes with a built-in 1.3-megapixel Webcam. Now it is a really good deal!!! Is n’t it?
