Canon U.S.A., Inc., has announced the new Canon PowerShot SD940 IS Camera. Its small size and high end features make this cam suitable for professionals. This camera not only provides great image quality but the design is also stylish and easy to use.

Canon PowerShot are compact cameras having a sleek look. This cam features a 12.1-Megapixel sensor with 28mm wide-angle lens having an optical zoom of 4x. These are available in many color variants like metallic blue, black, silver and brown. Other advanced features include 720 pixel HD movie recording capability and HDMI output connector for easy video and photos playback. PowerShot SD940 IS also incorporates Optical Image Stabilization. This stylish design includes a crisp and sharp 2.7-inch   LCD  PureColor System with a wide viewing angle.

Using CANON iMAGE GATEWAY users can upload and share photos and videos with others. Users can also gain access to extremely informative photography specific articles on diverse topics. This new model uses the DIGIC 4 Image Processor which accounts for cameras’ higher output performance, enhanced signal processing speeds and also for its excellent image quality. This processor also results in a faster shutter speed which reduces subject blur in images.  It can track 22 different shooting situations based on surroundings and adjusts lighting and focus for perfect images.

Smart AUTO technology can track moving faces. Navigation through images and menus has been made very simple. High Sensitivity System produces bright images in situations where flash cannot be used.
