Touchscreen mobile phones have a huge demand in the market primarily due to the comfort and ease they provide in usage. All manufacturers are now focusing on the Touchscreen phones as they are the future of mobile phones. Some of the prominent touchscreen manufacturers are Apple, Palm, Blackberry, Nokia and HTC.
1. Apple iPhone 3G
The iPhone has dominated the mobile market for a long time. It features a wide screen Multi-Touch display and 2.0 mega pixels camera with photo Geo tagging. Advanced features like Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity and assisted GPS have also been enabled. It also provides a 480-by-320-pixel resolution. This model was launched in July 2008.

Palm Pre has a 3.1 inches multi-Touchscreen which is exceptionally responsive to touch. It is often termed as the first competitor of Apple’s iPhone. Pre incorporates a 3 mega pixel camera, 8 GB of storage and electromagnetic induction charging. It also features high speed Wi-Fi connectivity.
3. HTC Magic

This HTC phone incorporates a highly responsive capacitive touch screen. The form factor of this handset is extremely attractive. It features a 3.2-megapixel camera and comes with Wi-Fi, GPS and HSDPA connectivity. This is a descendant of G1 and all the controls are logically placed. It has a 3.2 inch QVGA Touchscreen which is extremely sensitive. Absence of a physical keyboard makes this model less heavy. This elegant handset simply feels fabulous in hand.
4. LG Arena KM900

LG Arena KM900 incorporates 3-inch display with an 800 x 480 pixel resolution and a 5 mega pixel camera. Design of this model is unique. It is the first phone to use LG’s 3D cube interface. Phone’s menu system sits on a cube within the device. The layout has four customable home screens. This watertight model incorporates features like built-in Wi-Fi, HSDPA, FM radio, GPS and long living battery.
5. Samsung OmniaHD

Samsung OmniaHD with 3.7 inches OLED Touchscreen and TouchWiz interface. This is a perfectly designed handset. The touch screen is a capacitive type screen. Navigation around the phone’s menu system is very simple. Its 8 mega pixel camera provides high quality of video capture. The AMOLED technology gives both video and images great look. Other features include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, Built-in GPS receiver, 3G Support and 8 GB internal memory.
6. Sony Ericsson Idou

This amazing Touchscreen mobile phone is manufactured by Sony. Sony Ericsson Idou has a 3.5-inch 640×360 Touchscreen, a 12.1 mega pixel camera and a new interface. It allows personalizing of contacts as well as audio and video playback. It is expected to hit the markets in the end of 2009.
7. Nokia N97

Nokia N97 is a multimedia smart phone which incorporates a 5 mega pixel camera, stereo speakers and comes with a 48 GB internal memory. It also has advanced features like GPS, Wi-Fi, HSDPA connectivity. It features a resistive touchscreen and not a capacitive type. Nokia N97 features a slide-out Qwerty keyboard which most of the touchscreens phones lack. This model was launched in December 2008 and will be available in the market from June 2009 onwards.
