OPSWAT Metascan Multiple Antivirus SDK Comes With Additional New Features

OPSWAT, Inc announced the release of a chief update to Metascan multiple antivirus SDK. Metascan multiple antivirus SDK is an advanced engine for launching anti-malware scan requests and acquiring scan results from 8 built-in antivirus engines from CA, ESET, AVG, Norman, Sunbelt, VirusBuster, Quick Heal and ClamWin.

Metascan is available as an Ultra, Lite or Core package. It enables software engineers and IT professionals to set out multi-scanning solutions, permitting users to successfully scan content with many antivirus engines. Version 2.7 appends a number of enhancements and features.

Metascan minimizes deployment time and expenditure by providing a single interface to deal with all eight antivirus engines. The application is capable of extracting many files and file archives including ZIP, ISO, and MSI. It also detects over 400 file types including DOC, PDF and EXE formats.

Metascan easily integrates with third-party hardware and software via version 1.0 of the ICAP and an innate API. It comes with an updated VirusBuster engine.
