THE MATH INPUT PANEL

The math input panel is one of the most technically savvy application in the Windows 7’s accessories. By using the Math Input panel user can easily write mathematical equations in a natural way.Math input panel will provide the user the most efficient and natural way of math input.

User can write equations directly into the Windows 7.Then it can process those equations and will transfer them to programs that support the’ MathML’ format (StarOffice,Opera,OpenOffice, Maple etc)

Math Input Panel can be used with a Tablet Pen on a Tablet PC. But user can use the Math input panel with any input device like external digitizer,a touchscreen, or even with a mouse.

PROCEDURE

First user need to open the ‘Math Input Panel’ application from the Windows 7’s Accessories.Then write a math expression or an equation in to the corresponding writing area. Then it will shown at the preview area.Then Tap the ‘Insert’ button which will put the recognized ‘math’ in to the computational program or to the user’s word processing.

Math Input Panel will only shows the recognition result through the clipboard in MathML format.MathML is a “Standardized Mathematical Markup” language. The equation written from the user will recognize in MIPand will reach user’s destination in a completely editable form .So that it will allow the user to edit and insert the output as he would edit any text.The Math Input Panel will provide an excellent correction experience for the user.

If the hand written math of the user is mis recognized, then he can select any part of it ( whole sub-structures or the symbols). And then he can correct it by rewriting the part of the required expression or by selecting an alternate math from a drop down list. User only need to fix any one part of the equation.MIP will fixes the rest,in one step.

Note:

Math Input Panel will insert the recognized math in to the programs only if it support “Mathematical Markup Language” (MathML).User can use cheap writing pads like ‘Wacom’s Bamboo’ instead of using the Mouse to write the equations.
